  • The Back Porch

    Destin, FL

After our first day on the beach (it’s actually really tiring to be out in the sun all day, lol) we were all starving. So we hit up a place that we knew would have huge portions and pretty good food, the Back Porch! It’s a beach side restaurant with a very nice view of the ocean. It’s nice way to end the night!

    Broiled Admiral’s Feast

For the appetizer we had a creamy spinach and crab dip (not pictured because we dug in as soon as it hit the table) and the smoked tuna (someone actually took a picture of it), it was very good. The smokey flavor matched with the tuna was a pleasant surprise! Smoked tuna salad, that’s essentially what it was.. which is a great idea.

The Admiral’s Feast was my entree selection, overall it was pretty good. The broiled fish looked seasoned but it was slightly bland. Everything else was packed with flavor, the shrimp and scallops probably stood out the most. The crab cake and stuffed crab were basically the same thing, it didn’t make sense to seperate them. But in the end, regardless of our undying hunger, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
