Top Chef Winner??
Anywhere, World
Spoiler Warning: If you haven’t watched the season finale of Top Chef and do not want to know the ending.. you can stop reading..
So the finale was last night and from the start (way back in June), I picked my boy Hung to win it all. I guess I picked him because we both have similar styles and hell, we’re both Vietnamese. It’s a huge break through for a Vietnamese Chef to win a competition like this. First “Last Comic Standing”, now Top Chef?? lol He executed the dishes well.. and it all looked very good. He deserved to win. And for all the people who think he’s a jerk.. you need to work in a top kitchen before you pass that judgement, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
I did apply and they didn’t take me.. But what are the chances that 2 Vietnamese Chefs would win it back to back? Not so high.. Congrats to Hung and I’m still a fan of the show and will continue watching until it get old and monotonous.. Time for lunch.. have a good one guys! =)

I haven’t watch Top Chef since only 5 were left. But I had a feeling Hung was gonna win anyways. A Top Chef needs a lil attitude like his! He’s such a smart ass and I love it.
when i watch the show i wanna try all their dishes!!
Thank god he won.
I was rooting for Casey (first woman top chef!). Oh well. I’ll be watching the rerun sometime soon (didn’t watch it last night, but couldn’t resist the spoiler
).
chef, that was THE MOST sarcastic comment i’ve ever gotten from you. I mean, I could feel you smiling when you typed that comment. Its allll goooooood! lol..
i wanted hung to win too!! more vietnamese recognition! haha…last comic standing..top chef…and u forgot one…project runway’s chloe dao…we’re takin over reality tv competitions!!
I picked Tre and Hung to go all the way to the finale. I was psyched that Casey represented the women in the finale but tanked unfortunately. I agree, Hung did a great job. It is a competition folks and being all “helping each other” and “giving out tips”is not what a competition is all about because everyone wants to win.
Go HUNG!
They didn’t take you because you’re not a real chef with credentials and experience under your belt at a real restaurant.
I would have to disagree; even though a majority of the contestants on Top Chef have extensive backgrounds in the culinary world, there have been a few that have made it through without formal training or even restaurant experience. Take that first guy from the season. He didn’t have any “real” experience as a chef, but he got picked to be on the show. I think it would help, but it won’t stop someone from being on the show.
Apply next season! Yay for the Vietnamese. Hung actually applied twice.
i started watching “The Next Iron Chef” and that was pretty entertaining from a non-cooking person POV.
