Pinkberry
New York City, NY
Pinkberry.. A national phenomenon, it’s all the rave… even those girls from the Hills go there.. Don’t ask me how I know that. I decided to wait until all the craziness died down a bit and give my unbiased review of the place. And here we go…
Outside of Pinkberry
The various toppings.. (the fruity pebbles caught my eye)There was a lot of hype before my first visit to Pinkberry. Many friends swore by it (the way people were when Starbucks was all the rave).. and some friends gave me their honest opinion, they felt it was an “aquired taste”.
the final product (original and green tea yogurt swirl)When I first tasted it, I expected euphoria.. I expect to have that “Ratatouille” moment where fireworks were bursting all over my senses.. But alas, I was let down. The taste is interesting.. did I love it? no.. did I hate it? no.. it was different and in my judgment, not worth all of the publicity that it’s been getting. And even in the harsh cold of a New York City winter.. people still jam into Pinkberry for their fruit topped frozen yogurt cups. Who am I to stop them? If you enjoy something, no one can tell you not too.. But don’t freak out when people don’t feel the same way…
How do you feel about Pinkberry?

I like the pomegranate :]
Need the mochi, cereal, and fruit toppings to get all those crazy flavors and textures all in one bite.
thanks for writing this…geeez!
red mango is FAR better. I’m on campaign in my city to eat at every froyo place. Some are definitely better than others.
i’ve only had a bite of pinkberry and thought it was ok. i had red mango not too long ago and thought it was good! i love the mochi topping…mmmm…
RED MANGO!! but then i could do the same thing (not frozen) with greek yogurt, and it’s 100 times better tasting.
Wait, is this the pinkberry in K-town? I went there a few days ago for the first time. I didn’t really like it, but I definitely want to try Red Mango!
I don’t think they have Pinkberry here. The name sounds cute though (=.
Thanks for posting!
the bloomingdales in new york has a much, much better froyo. both their plain and coffee flavors are amazing.
i feel the same way you do. ive been to pinkberry a few times only cause the ppl i was with wanted it. and to me, it’s eh. i dont know why it’s so hyped up. honestly, i’d rather just eat the toppings than with the yogurt. i’d take ice cream or gelato over pinkberry ANY DAY.
no me gusta pinkberry. i don’t like tart yogurt. i like my typical ice-cream style fro-yo =D
i do like pinkberry a lot have been going to the one near my apartment in Westwood CA for the past two years.. but i find the texture of the yogurt at other shops much better.. also pinkberry is a bit pricey in comparison to other shops!
