Do you like it RAW?
AnyCity, World
I’ve heard both sides of the argument.. From the Raw eaters, “Raw is so fresh and so pure” and the anti-Raw, “The texture and flavor is so weird”
Whether raw sushi or raw oysters or raw anything, the question is simple..Do YOU eat raw foods??
Salmon Sashimi
Raw OysterI may be the most open-minded eater you’ll ever meet.. I’ll try almost anything atleast once. I know chefs that don’t even eat some of the stuff they cook.. but that’s another entry.. So my answer is yes to raw! What’s your preference?

Have you had insects before?
Check out the website http://www.rawoysteralert.com. I was shocked to learn that several individuals die each year from the consumption of raw oysters that are contaminated with naturally occurring Vibrio bacteria. Some gulf states have chosen to not take action in order to make raw oysters safe for ALL consumers.
Several years ago, the state of California made a requirement that all imported raw oysters must be pasteurized and since that requirement was put into place there have been NO FURTHER DEATHS in that state.
In order to affect change, consumers need to only accept oysters that are SAFE through post harvest processing or through being cooked. Consumer demand drives the market and the industry would be forced to provide oysters that did not lead to unnecessary deaths.
The website http://www.rawoysteralert.com has a wealth of information available and also explains how you can help in making the consumption of oysters safe for everyone.
raw 24/7
of course, yes to raw.
love the website, yes to raw.
mm…it exercises a different part of the chef’s pallet…goes to show you cooking sense isn’t everything when it comes down to it, seasoning and flavoring are big factors as well, as seen in raw food.
personally, I think that slimy stuff like that doesn’t sit well in my throat or stomach…I’ll take something I can chew anyday.
interesting entry, though. I will definitely try that when my palette broadens to that point.
YES, i like it RAW. i grew up in Hawaii and my dad was a fisherman, so my mom would always make sashimi and pokie. your pictures look so yummy!! hehe, now i’m gonna have to have sashimi tonight!
